MRHB Open Day – Blessing of the Fleet

Blessing of the Fleet is a centuries old tradition believed to have originated in Mediterranean communities to ensure a safe and prosperous season to all vessels. In the modern era, Hervey Bay’s annual Blessing of the Fleet is celebrated with a free evening of music, market stalls, a sail by of the vessels and culminating with an impressive fireworks display at 7:20 pm.
